Bush, Disney & ABC Choose Pandering Over Consensus
Should Bush be forgiven because he's only doing what he needs to do to hang onto power? Does this blow away any claims that he might have had to being a "uniter," or was that pretense swept away a long time ago? Will people watch? Will they swallow the bullshit? Can history be rewritten while there are still living people who remember what really happened? How crass is too crass? Can we distinguish between censorship and calling for truth and accuracy?
If ABC wants to air this, let it, but there better be a scrolling disclaimer on the screen informing Americans that this movie contains fictionlized scenes which directly contradict the official 9/11 Commission Report. Anything less than that is, as I pointed out above, selling fiction as fact.
